Easier routine cleaning of the 815-2 is another factor that has contributed to a more efficient work schedule for Lagone Paving. The design of the paver enables the hopper bed to be raised to a clearance of six feet, allowing for convenient cleaning access to the undercarriage when needed. "I know some contractors whose pavers need to go to the shop to be taken apart and cleaned," said Lagone. "We only need to clean this paver once every two or three weeks, and it's a 15-minute job. That uptime is obviously key when it's your only machine." 

The company's experience with BOMAG extends to its compaction equipment as well. Lagone Paving runs the manufacturer's BW120AD-4 and BW138AD tandem vibratory rollers, both of which accompany the 815-2 to nearly every project.

"Good equipment and service leads to good business," said Lagone. "Getting done early has almost become routine for us. And that only creates more job opportunities. The return on investment has been outstanding."
