BOMAG INTRODUCES NEW BVP SERIES SINGLE-DIRECTIONAL VIBRATORY PLATES
Versatile compactors are ideal for the rental market

ORLANDO – The new BVP Series single-directional vibratory plates from BOMAG offer versatility, outstanding value, and the durability and performance contractors expect from BOMAG. The BVP line includes two models – the BVP 10/36 and the BVP 18/45. They will be introduced at The Rental Show in Orlando, Feb. 8-10, 2010.

The BVP compactors are designed to be versatile, hardworking machines that can be used for a variety of jobs, from soil compaction to asphalt to pavers and patios. The base plate offers extra width for compaction below fences or boundaries. An optional Vulcolan mat helps prevent damage to paving stones or bricks. A water tank and sprinkler system are offered as options.

Powered by air-cooled Honda gasoline engines, they are built to withstand the rigors of daily use. They feature an engine protection frame to help prevent damage. The engine has an oil alert to make maintenance easy, and is isolated from vibration to enhance durability. A bolt-on exciter is easy to remove and maintain, reducing maintenance costs.

A wide range of options and features make the BVP compactors easy to use for professionals as well as do-it-yourself consumers. The steering handle is isolated from vibration and is foldable and removable. The balanced lifting point, carrying handles and optional transport wheels make the compactors easy to move to and from the jobsite.

The BVP 10/36 weighs 183 pounds, has a working width of 14.2 inches, and a centrifugal force of 2,250 pounds. The BVP 18/45 weighs 201 pounds, has a working width of 17.7 inches, and 4,050 pounds of centrifugal force.
