BOMAG’S 4 CYCLE BT TAMPERS RECEIVE FACELIFT AND NEW FEATURES

LAS VEGAS – BOMAG has updated its line of BT 4 cycle gasoline tampers with a new style and several new features that enhance their safety, reliability and ease of use. The BT 60/4 and BT 65/4 will be exhibited at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Feb. 27 - March 1, 2011.

The new models feature a newly styled upper end, with a new air filter and engine protection cover designed from a hard-wearing plastic. This new styling provides more than just good looks; it offers enhanced engine and component protection, making the tampers more reliable and always ready for the jobsite.

The BT series’ dual fuel filter system ensures engine reliability and durability. The primary filter remains an integral part of the fuel tank, and there is now an additional inline microfilter in the fuel hose. The tampers are powered by a proven Honda 4 cycle engine, which has an integrated accelerator pump for smooth acceleration. In addition to low engine emissions, working speed is rapidly reached even on cohesive soil applications.

The standard tachometer and operating hour meter assist maintenance work. The integrated service indicator notifies the user when routine maintenance is needed (after the first 25 hours and every 100 hours).

The BT series tampers offer high compaction output working speed, maximizing productivity and reducing operating and labor costs. The ergonomic controls make the tampers easy to operate and minimize hand-arm vibrations.
