BOMAG REDESIGNS ITS BP LINE OF SINGLE-DIRECTIONAL PLATES
New plates offer greater performance and improved ease-of-use

ORLANDO – BOMAG’s redesigned line of BP Single-Directional Vibratory Plates offer rental customers greater performance and versatility at a low cost. The new series, which includes five models, will be introduced at The Rental Show in Orlando, Feb. 8-10, 2010.

Giving rental companies a full line of plate compactors, the BP series are ideal for small landscaping and soil compaction jobs, and can also be used for patios and asphalt. With a higher centrifugal force, wider working width and a higher working speed, the series offers improved performance over the previous models, matching or exceeding the performance of competitive machines.

All of the models feature an air-cooled Honda engine with oil alert. The engine is vibration isolated, extending the life and reducing wear. The compactors also feature engine protection to prevent damage. An available Vulcolan mat can be used for paving stone applications. For asphalt jobs, the series includes optional water sprinkler systems. The asphalt model also includes a specially shaped base plate as standard equipment.

The vibration-isolated steering handle offers low hand-arm vibrations, making the compactors easier and more comfortable to use. They also feature a single, balanced lifting point, and optional wheels for easy transport. The removable water tank has an easy-to-read water level gauge.

The BP series includes five models:

• BP 10/35 – 143 pounds, 13.8-inch working width, 2,250 pounds of centrifugal force
• BP 12/40 – 159 pounds, 15.7-inch working width, 2,700 pounds of centrifugal force
• BP 12/50A (asphalt) – 165 pounds, 19.7-inch working width, 2,700 pounds of centrifugal force
• BP 20/50 – 209 pounds, 19.7-inch working width, 4,500 pounds of centrifugal force
• BP 25/50 – 238 pounds, 19.7-inch working width, 5,620 pounds of centrifugal force
